To mark World Day for Safety and Health at Work, observed on April 28, the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad hosted an event for high school students, organised by the Department of Environmental Engineering and Occupational Health and Safety.
Under the slogan “The Challenges Are Ready – The Risk Is Missing Out”, students had the opportunity to learn about the basic principles of hazard identification, risk assessment, and the implementation of safety measures through interactive challenges, practical tasks, and teamwork. The activities were designed to demonstrate the importance of occupational health and safety in an engaging and accessible way, not only in the workplace but also in everyday life, education, and future career choices.
During the event, with the support of professors, teaching assistants, and students from the Department, the high school students took part in educational activities and, through direct interaction, learned more about the study programs, research areas, and opportunities offered by education in Occupational Health and Safety Engineering and Environmental Engineering.
