On March 11, 2026, the Department of Environmental Engineering and Occupational Health and Safety at the Faculty of Technical Sciences hosted an educational workshop for fourth-grade students from “Žarko Zrenjanin” Primary School. The workshop focused on recycling, material properties, and the importance of environmental protection.
A short expert lecture was delivered by Dr Zorica Mirosavljević, with the support of Dr Bojana Zoraja. The program was designed as an interactive combination of education and play, with a particular focus on a team competition involving the fast and correct sorting of waste.
Through activities of this kind, the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, together with its departments and students, actively contributes to developing environmental awareness among children from an early age. At the same time, these activities strengthen the connection between the academic community and the local community, with the shared goal of promoting sustainable development.
